We are looking for 2 Middle Technical Writers and 1 Senior Technical Writer. The Senior Spesialist will be also responsible organizing teamwork (intake, progress reporting, etc).
Responsibilities
🔸Re-write and migrate existing content to Engineering Hub;
🔸Create new and update Engineering Hub articles;
🔸Design, approve and follow strict rules on writing documentation;
🔸Following one unified style for all content: grammar, language structure, format, vocabulary need to be consistent. All existing pages need to be rewritten using this unified style;
🔸Existing content needs to be modified into this new style. TW needs to read and understand existing article before modifying – if it doesn’t make sense, it needs to be re-written;
🔸Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailTarget Audience: junior developers. We should use simple and clear language;
🔸Acceptance criteria for the articles should be designed.
Requirements
🔸Experience in writing technical documentation for international projects:
- For Sr TW: 5+ years technical writing work experience required.
- For Mid TW: 3+ years technical writing work experience required.
🔸For Sr TW: Experience leading / mentoring other tech writers;
🔸For Sr TW: Experience in organizing and overseeing the processes of writing technical documentation in big international projects;
🔸Excellent technical writing skills required;
🔸Highly proficient in English (C1+);
🔸Experience with Markdown and HTML/CSS;
🔸Expert understanding of one or more major technologies, such as database design and development, networking, client/server applications, security, multimedia, or device drivers, etc;
🔸The ability to read or write a high-level programming language is required;
🔸emonstrated interest in, and knowledge of, broad but related areas of technology. The ability to be proactive in solving problems is required.
Nice to have
🔸Understanding the principles of high quality software development;
🔸Knowledge of cloud computing;
🔸Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Overlap time requirements
🔸1 hour sync requirement daily during morning PST time zone work hours;
🔸1-2 hours overlap with Redmond biz hours is sufficient.
