We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a growing Ads Data Science team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and applying cutting-edge data science models and methods to improve the adoption and performance of the advertising platform through data-driven insights. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other data scientists to identify opportunities, define metrics, and build solutions that drive significant business impact.

About the Ads Data Science Team:

The Ads Data Science team leverages data to maximize advertiser value through robust data foundations, well-defined metrics, and strategic insights generated via experimentation and advanced data science methods. The team works on a wide range of challenging problems, including ads targeting, relevance modeling, auction optimization, measurement, and user experience. It is a highly collaborative group of passionate data scientists and engineers constantly pushing the boundaries of machine learning and statistical modeling.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and apply data science solutions to drive improvements in advertiser experience and the performance of the advertising platform and marketplace
  • Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that enhance the effectiveness of the advertising platform
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and translate them into scalable data science solutions
  • Develop machine learning models and advanced data science methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition
  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science; mentor and guide junior data scientists

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field
  • Strong experience working with Big Data; advanced SQL and Python are required
  • Strong product mindset and ability to work closely with cross-functional partners
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design
  • Experience with large-scale data processing tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; knowledge of BigQuery is a plus
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Proficiency in Python or R and hands-on experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Strong communication skills

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in online advertising and ad tech
  • Experience with causal inference and A/B testing
