Background
Teams work with internal engineering systems related to infrastructure, security, and developer productivity. The environment includes thousands of servers across multiple datacenters and Azure resources across multiple regions.
Currently, there are three open Senior C# Engineer roles for different internal teams.
Senior Software Development Engineer
Tech stack: C#, PowerShell, C++
Project overview
Work on internal tooling used to clean up and optimize a large OS codebase.
The goal is to remove unused code and binaries, improve build performance, and reduce security risks related to foreign checked-in binaries.
- Run internal tooling to identify unused code and files in the OS repository
- Analyze and select candidates for deletion based on security impact and build performance improvement
- Create pull requests using the tooling
- Test pull requests in CI pipelines
- Send pull requests to owning teams identified by the tooling
- Follow up with owning teams to drive completion of changes
- Monitor branch health after changes and investigate or revert issues if needed
- Report bugs found in the tooling to the responsible teams
Senior Software Development Engineer
Tech stack: C#, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Azure
Project overview
Support internal engineering services related to code flow, ownership, and developer productivity.
The work focuses on handling support requests and resolving issues for internal users.
Responsibilities
- Review and handle support requests from emails and internal communication channels
- Investigate issues and provide clarification or workarounds
- Diagnose issues using logs and troubleshooting tools
- Work with development teams on deeper investigations and code fixes
- Update documentation based on support cases
- Follow up with users to confirm issue resolution
Senior Software Development Engineer
Tech stack: C#, PowerShell, Azure
Project overview
Support and maintain hardware infrastructure across multiple datacenters.
The work includes infrastructure onboarding, maintenance, incident handling, and automation to improve reliability.
Responsibilities
- Support the hardware incident management lifecycle
- Onboard new infrastructure
- Maintain and upgrade existing infrastructure
- Rebalance content across machines within server pools
- Create automated processes for regular content rebalancing
- Ensure balanced load across servers to improve reliability
Overlap: PST
Work format: remote, flexible, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
