Akvelon is looking for a Backend developer with experience with Golang or strong Python (with intention to learn Golang and switch to it).
The Akvelon’s team alongside with team from client are working to implement highly available service for that purposes, especially – uploading and processing large CSV files, crating background tasks for media uploads, storing data to database, providing API for the frontend. This is a new monetization channel for our client. The project/service will allow users to create or upload their product catalogs for shopping ads generation. Also, there will be options to manage their product catalogs – edit, delete etc
Requirements:
- 5+ years backend development experience with multiple parts of the backend stack, from databases to networking to efficient computing.
- Experience with Go or strong Python and intention to learn Go and switch to it
- Experience with Postgres, Redis, Thrift, Protobuf, GraphQL and Docker/k8s on AWS.
- Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
- Experience developing customer-facing public applications is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with teams in a fully-remote environment, and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
Overlap time – Overlap till 10am PST on a daily basis but once a week till 11am PST

Tech interview, meeting with Delivery manager/HR, take-home assignment + interview with the hiring manager
