
We are looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer (Lead Windows App SDK Integration Engineer) who will join our high-impact project.
Tech Stack: C++ or C#, PowerShell, Windows API/COM, Azure DevOps. Comfortable using GitHub Copilot.
Build and integrate Windows App SDK UI and runtime components into enterprise-scale Windows SDK build infrastructure. You’ll work with cutting-edge Windows APIs and ensure compatibility across multiple Windows versions.
Locations for hiring: Washington, California, Florida, Virginia, Texas, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Wisconsin.
Requirements:
- 4+ years C++ development on Windows or 3+ years C# / .NET development
- Working knowledge of the complementary stack (C++ or C#/.NET)
- Experience with XAML and UI frameworks
- Strong understanding of Windows APIs and COM
- Experience with MSBuild, nmake, and Visual Studio build systems
- Proficiency with Visual Studio solutions and project files (.sln, .vcxproj, .csproj).
Preferred:
- Experience with WinUI 3 or UWP development
- Familiarity with WinRT and language projections
- Experience with IDL/MIDL for interface definitions
- NuGet or vcpkg package management
- Experience supporting multiple OS versions simultaneously
- Comfortable using agentic workflows with GitHub Copilot to accelerate development

Responsibilities:
- Integrate Windows App SDK component builds into enterprise build infrastructure (C++/C#/MSBuild)
- Drive componentization inputs/outputs and dependency management for build and packaging
- Generate and validate metadata and interop artifacts (e.g., IDL/MIDL, winmd)
- Validate binary/ABI compatibility across Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Collaborate with component owners and platform teams on build requirements and integration contracts
- Author focused design notes for integration decisions and track work items to delivery
