Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Go)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a high-impact Content Platform team focused on modernizing backend infrastructure and services.

About the role:
In this role, you will work on migrating legacy Python-based services from a large monolithic architecture to modern Golang microservices owned by multiple Product teams. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and collaborates effectively across distributed teams.

Responsibilities:
Migrate and refactor existing backend logic from Python into Golang-based GraphQL API services.
Quickly learn and adopt internal tools, systems, and engineering processes to support efficient migration efforts.
Partner closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and delivery.
Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues, delivering clear and effective solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code with strong validation practices.
Contribute to improving internal migration tooling and engineering workflows.

Requirements:
5+ years of backend development experience, preferably in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Strong expertise in both Golang and Python.
Proven commercial experience with Go is mandatory.
Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly understand and work with unfamiliar tools, systems, and technologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in distributed teams.
Upper-Intermediate+ level of English.
Ability to work till 2 PM PST.

This position is open only to candidates based in Europe / Latam and is not open to U.S.-based applicants.
